With the stunning ocean views, hiking trails and some of the best outdoor living in the world, the Beach Communites have made outdoor living a way of life. This area was one of the last areas to be affected by the spread of mosquitoes throughout Los Angeles which is now the fastest growing cities in the country for mosquito control services. Although the cooler weather initially limited the issue for these beach communities, the combination of more moisture and lush homelandscaping has led to a population explosion. This area has also been effected by what we call imposter mosquitoes or no-seeums which also bite. These aggressive biters require a blood meal (us!) to reproduce and leave their eggs (50 to 100 eggs at a time) in moist lawns and flower beds. Properties with dogs attract these pests as the larvae feed on urnine and feces.
